Hi,
with a view to geting all the requirements finalised soon we are working
to Wed 10th Sep, 12pm UTC as the deadline for last minute features to be
added. So now is a good time to mention it if you think something is
missing from:

http://wiki.zynot.org/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=RequirementSpecification

A current notable omission is security. What to we require from
security? eg. "we require all source packages to be signed in triplicate
and burried in soft peet for 3 months before being recycled as
firelighters in order to be accepted by the package manager"

The subject should be discussed as to what constitutes reasonable security
for all parties. While I rather liked your parody example, what about the
truly paranoid (like myself) e.g. " we require that all source _and
binaries_ should be ten part split and signed be no less than four members
of the NSA currently not under investigation, and ssh'd to Area 51 on hours
starting with an odd number, to be hand delivered by a spacecraft piloted by
Elvis, while being sealed in a two step fingerprint/retina security enabled
blast-proof box capable of surviving ground zero". Maybe a poll to determine
"reasonable measures" could be undertaken?

p.s You did mean "peat", as in "peat moss"?
